Firstly, I'll give you a quick rundown on what a bucket list is...
Simply put, it's a bunch of experiences you want to have before you die. Also known as: kick the bucket.
For some, those experiences are finding a partner, settling down and having kids. The more 'wild' amongst us have a bucket list full of outrageous activities, such as: sky-diving, bungee jumping and swimming with great white sharks.
For me, it's a mixture of both.
If you'd like a full rundown on how and when to write a bucket list, including FAQs, check out our comprehensive guide to writing your bucket list.
Why I Have a Bucket List
Whilst not for everyone, I've always thought it was essential to have a bucket list.
I think it helps to focus the mind when times are hard.
It shows you what you have already achieved and all the incredible places and activities yet to come.
Before writing my bucket list, I, for some reason, always said no to things, and yet, I was always bored.
After writing my bucket list, the dreams seemed more real. Suddenly, I felt pressured into saying yes to things, which, in turn, led me to a life I love, scratching off epic adventures and activities I've always wanted to do.
Since then, it's just spiralled.
Now, the only trouble with my list is that for every activity I tick off, two more appear.
