As a new, fresh-faced, young traveller, I found it hard to comprehend how much travel would or could change me. I was set in my ways. Frankly, I didn't think anything was powerful enough to have such a massive impact on my life.
I was wrong!
Travelling was the first; the second is happening right now as I type. My first child (6 weeks today) sprawled out over my shoulder.
Looking back at me as a newbie to where I am now is insane. It's night and day different. As you delve further into the world of travel, you'll discover how your chosen path changes you and your destination.
What to Expect
The destination is one of four categories we think travel can be split into; the others are The Money, The logistics and The time.
With the other three key categories covering the how and when, our destinations page covers the where, including country guides, city guides and the road trips that got us there.
Within the country guides, you'll discover a wealth of information on what you'll face upon arrival, including, but not limited to, the transport network, budgeting, what the cities are like, traditional foods, what to pack, and whether a visa is required.
From our country guides, you can drill down into our city guides and our tales from the road.
Our city guides are fairly similar. Only they focus on individual places. Again, we look at where to stay, where the best food joints are, where to party, what there is to do there and how best to get around.
Then comes our Tales from the Road or Road Trippin'. Here you'll encounter our creative writing and storytelling about some of the wildest journeys. Often, we concentrate on the madness, but there are useful hints and tricks along the way.
