The most beautiful country in the world

Croatia is located on the south-eastern edge of Europe, hugging the Adriatic Sea to the west, Slovenia to the north and Bosnia to the east.

The capital city of Zagreb is located to the north east, but the majority of the visitors to this stunning country will probably head to the south west.

The beautiful country has a little bit of everything: from the great weather to the golden beaches, jaw-dropping cities, history and culture, it is one of the best countries on earth to visit in our eyes. We also think it's the most beautiful country in the world, and I'm sure you will agree after your visit.

So, What's Special?

It is hard to pinpoint exactly what makes Croatia so special. It could be the feeling you get exploring the beautiful old towns and cities. It could be the fact its clean and tidy and so well looked after, or it could just be the sheer beauty of the coast.

So much human care has gone into making this country as beautiful as it is today, and that attitude shines through to the people of Croatia. The care to preserve the past and the country's history, whilst steadfastly moving forward just makes this country magical.

Our Experience

Greg spent a week in this stunning country and it just wasn't long enough.

We spent a few days partying on the northern shores of Pag, before moving south to Split and Hvar with every intention to relax and explore, although to be perfectly honest the relaxing kind of gave way to another boat party and a few more nights out. We did explore some stunning towns and harbours, as well as weave our way through the beautiful local markets.

Our Advice

The best advice we can give for Croatia has to simply be: go there.

This isn't the cheapest country in Eastern Europe, so you may need to take a little extra cash in your back pocket. Getting around can add up quickly but it's still well worth moving around the country to experience the breadth of what it has to offer.

If you have a limited time in the country, don't rush to see it all. Choose a couple of places to see, otherwise you will miss a lot within each place due to rushing around. It is so beautiful you will want to stay in one place for a prolonged period of time.

Lastly I would have to say eat out but local where possible, the food is beautiful. Don't always head to the expensive restaurants as, whilst they will throw together good food, the markets and local haunts are so much better and a fraction of the cost.

To Summarise...

Everything about Croatia is just fantastic. It's a country that makes you crave more. You will want to return and see absolutely everything. The warm Adriatic waters make for a great place to relax as well as taking part in a number of watersports. The beaches are to die for and the old towns and cities will make you want to delve further into the narrow streets. Please, go here.
